Our Story
Ember Saunas was started by the same folks behind Total Home Solutions—Ryan and Melissa. For years, they’ve been designing and building custom homes, so quality craftsmanship is kind of their thing.
After helping people create beautiful spaces to live in, they decided to bring that same mindset to saunas. The idea was simple: build something that looks amazing, feels solid, and lasts for years. Every sauna is handcrafted with the same care and attention they put into their homes—because relaxing should feel just as good as coming home.

We’re builders, outdoor enthusiasts, and believers in the power of contrast therapy. Based in Bend, Oregon, we spend our days mountain biking, skiing, and soaking up the high desert lifestyle—and our nights in the sauna. With over 20 years of carpentry experience, we're handcrafting saunas that bring together our love for clean design, natural materials, and intentional living. Ember was born from the desire to create something we couldn’t find—timeless saunas built for modern lives, made by people who actually live this way.

Brandon Benaway
Meet our lead barrel sauna crafstman! With a foundation in woodworking and crafting cold plunges, Brando brings a wealth of experience to our team. He loves that all of our saunas are built from
scratch and that he can oversee every detail from start to finish.
Outside of the sauna shop, Brando balances his time between working on his farm, coaching his son's soccer team, and spending time with his family. His dedication, expertise, and talent adds so much to our team!
Austin Clark
With a background in custom building and remodels, Austin gets to put his advanced carpentry skills to work in our shop. He loves both the artistry and technical precision involved in crafting our barrel saunas.
Born and raised in Bend, Oregon, Austin's roots run deep in the
local community. When he's not perfecting saunas, he enjoys other building projects and fixing up cars. His passion for his craft makes him an invaluable part of Ember Saunas.
